RE: JOB RESIGNATION LETTER

Dear Mrs. Bliss,

I am Ruth Ford, an employee of your esteemed company working for the past four years.

I am resigning from my position, serving a two week notice period.

I would like to share it with you that I have been presented with a very good business opportunity through my old friend, Carl Smith.

He has a great plan for a new venture in interior decoration. And, I always wanted to do business in my preferred field – interior decoration. Actually, I also have a diploma in interior designing, but I did not find any suitable opportunity for me earlier, and hence I joined your company.

Now, with the help of my friend, I want to follow my dream, my passion. I hope that with his help, I can make it big in business someday.

We plan to start our business next month. So, I am resigning from my position in this company giving you a notice of two weeks, ending the last day of this month.

I would like to mention here that I learned a lot in this company. My seniors always treated me well and trained me so good that now I can face any challenge my way ahead. This company helped me gain useful skills and it enhanced my knowledge about many things, both personal & professional.
