Dear Residents,

All the residents of the HSB Community assembled for a meeting on July 24th, 2023 for discussing the closure of the community park in the community and building up of a mall.

It is certainly not a good change for community as this park has been there from last three decades and makes an essential part of our community. This park has been a part of our children’s everyday play area, a space for our senior citizens to take a walk and for everyone else to exercise and breathe fresh air. By demolishing the park and creating a mall at its place will take away a small chunk of greenery that we all enjoy. Therefore, it is a unanimous decision of all the residents that we should prevent the implementation of this proposal.

We would like extend our warm gratitude towards Ms. Ana Brown for taking the initiative for filing a petition to showcase our concerns and submitting the same with the City Council. We are sure that all the residents are going to be signing their names in the draft. Ms. Ana is going to be presenting our case to the Council on September 1st, 2023 at 9 am meeting. We would appreciate if more and more residents could be present to attend the meeting as it is our last chance to save the park for our families and our community.

Thanking you.

Sincerely,

Henry Brown
